Not all beans are created equal

Beyond beans: posole, chiles, Mexican oregano, spices, sauces, California-grown rice, and cookware for the meals they belong in.

Common questions

Everything a first-time bean buyer wants to know.

How do I cook dried heirloom beans?

Soak overnight (or not — many of ours cook beautifully without soaking), then simmer gently with aromatics until tender. Every bag includes specific guidance, and our website has recipes for each variety.

How long do dried beans keep?

Stored in a cool, dry place, our beans keep well for a year or more. They're new-crop when shipped, meaning they cook faster and taste better than commodity beans that may have sat in a warehouse for years.

What is the Bean Club?

The Bean Club is our curated membership program — seasonal shipments of hand-selected beans delivered to your door. Availability is limited, and there's often a waitlist, but it's worth the wait.

Do you ship nationwide?

We ship across the United States and to Canada. Orders of $50 or more to a single US address qualify for free economy shipping.
